Woodmont Day Camp Adds 5th Pool, Ping Pong Center & Zip Line

Amazing facility expansions and renovations are just the beginning at Woodmont Day Camp. Woodmont is offering new fun and healthy activities for children to enjoy all summer long. Woodmont is proud to introduce a brand new zip line, large new pool complex, and an incredible ping pong pavilion for campers to enjoy.
The zip line, stretching between three trees, allows children to soar above the campgrounds while being encouraged to jump out of their comfort zone and take in nature from a unique view. Children third grade and above will be safely harnessed into the zip line by trained camp counselors, they will then soar a short distance to feel the wind in their faces while embracing excitement on this new adventure.
The brand new pool complex is one of Woodmont's best additions this summer. While currently in the finishing stages, the fifth and largest pool will be completed and opened for the start of this summer camp season. Another new addition to the pool complex will be a renovated bumper boat pool that will be scheduled for organized pool activities, including bumper boats.
Swimmers at Woodmont Day are taught safety first at the pool. At Woodmont each camper is taught how to improve their swim skills based on the Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Woodmont has carefully modified the Red Cross's program to develop smaller subsections of each level (Guppy, Minnow, Betta, etc), helping the campers achieve success in smaller increments. Campers have two periods of swim each day, the first period is used to build better swimming skills and the second period is a recreational period where they can practice their new skills or just have fun!
For a competitive, skill building and classic form of fun, the newly built ping pong pavilion is another great addition to Woodmont. With a brand new deck and hand-crafted tables, campers will have the opportunity to play this sport. The ping pong pavilion will be open to campers in first grade and above.
From the grounds and landscaping, to facilities and activities, Woodmont is constantly working to improve and renovate for the betterment of the camper experience. In addition to the wonderful new facilities, the health center has also been renovated. Woodmont Day Camp continually strives to provide the highest quality children’s summer camp.
